Confidentiality Agreement
It is important that you have a confidentiality agreement for those clients that wish to use one and also lay out your booking terms in advance of issuing one. You can use the Confidentiality Agreement as a plus point if you have a wavering client or you can mention that you have one when you set out the details of the way you work to a new prospective client.
I feel that it is important that you have a business portfolio when you start
out. Have all of these items listed and printed not just on headed paper but
also written clearly in e-mails. As a virtual assistant or pa in business,
getting it wrong can cost you dearly.
If a client asks for your experience or you wish to 'warm up' a prospect that you have met and exchanged contact details with, sending them a professional portfolio may make the difference between you getting the work or not.
Once you have been in business for some time and are known this is not so necessary and you may just need to mention it if you feel it important or a job clincher, but when you are starting out it is important to show a very business-like attitude.
My agreements are shown below. Please do not copy them outright and also please get yours checked over by a 'legal eagle' to make sure that they are correct.
